The shape remains unchanged since 100 years ago, and it is still manufactured now. It is not clear about history of them. Indeed, it is still seen at electric work site now. On the other hand, it is used for outdoor recreation by young generation who captivated its nostalgic style. It cannot be stated light and sophisticated construction, but the attraction for the knife is that it has a sturdy body and can be used hard using the weight.
