This KT-406 is a nostalgic slip joint craft knife. The blade is a kind of hawk-bill shape which is mono layer of SK-4 high carbon steel. And the handle material is a natural wood with a classical stainless bolster.
“電工ナイフ DENKO-knife” is a kind of slip joint knives for Electricians in Japan. The shape remains unchanged since 100 years ago, and it is still manufactured now. It is not clear about history of them. Indeed, it is still seen at electric work site now. On the other hand, it is used for outdoor recreation by young generation who captivated its nostalgic style. It cannot be stated light and sophisticated construction, but the attraction for the knife is that it has a sturdy body and can be used hard using the weight. Proudly made in SEKI, Japan.
